This troubleshooting guide is only meant to assist, with a goal of possibly saving you a service call or at least knowing what may be the problem. Problem

My A/C is not blowing cold air.

Possible Cause:

First check the air filter and make sure that it is not plugged, replace if needed. If you are getting air flow but it is not cold, this could be due to a problem with the compressor or a loss of refrigerant charge. Check that the breakers are on for the air conditioner and check outside if the outdoor unit is operating. Check for ice or strong condensation on the equipment. If you see icing that is typically due to loss of refrigerant and sometimes it's filter related. If you notice ice, shut off the system and if you have the opportunity turn the blower to 'on' to help thaw the ice. We need the system thawed before we work on it.
