Dennis said: I was very very disappointed that the check up on my water heater did not include draining it. I plan to check with other vendors on what their protocol is for the check up on the water heaters.
Company Response: Our goal with our tune-up is to get at the ignition side of the equipment and make sure the burners are cleaned and functioning as intended. The flushing needs to be done more regularly than we are there for, and it needs to be done on a regular basis once installed. Draining years after it has been installed opens a big can of worms where the drain valve will not close fully and/or the water heater can take hours to drain.
