We know you have several options when it comes to Heating & Cooling contractors. It is hard to compare businesses as we all go about doing business in different ways.
Our family has been in the HVAC trades for 5 generations going back a century. Our business, Christensen & Wisnet, started after World War II when Earl Christensen came back from service, and started working for his uncle at Schank & Christensen. When his uncle decided to close up shop instead of selling the business, Earl decided to go into business with Joe Wisnet (senior). Our shop opened up in 1966 on Outagamie Street in Appleton, WI. We delivered fuel oil to the valley as well as full service to their heating and cooling systems. Joe Wisnet (son) took over the business from his father upon his unexpected passing, and with time John Christensen purchased his side from his father in the 80's.
Today we are operated by the fifth generation Andy Christensen & Dan Christensen. They have been brought up through the company learning all the important aspects as well as learning the ethics that have made our company the staple it is in the valley. Expect the same quality service you have received from us, always! We have been here for you, and we will be here for you long into the future.
We were one of the best in the valley in Post Crescent's Best of the Valley in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 (based on votes). When we reach out to customers to share their feedback we are currently at a 99.7%+ satisfaction rate. We truly care about running our business ethically and upfront. Our reviews are there for the reading. We do not modify or suppress bad reviews. They are so few and far between, and that is a pure testament to our technicians, estimators, and office staff doing a great job.
There are certainly companies out there with high pressure tactics, you won't find that here. We take a different approach than most others in that we price our work at a fair price, so that we aren't desparate to raise our ticket cost, crazy isn't it? While we certainly have products/services we can recommend, our technicians are out to recommend something becuase they truly believe in it. We do not tell employees to push products, and the amounts we give to technicians for addons is balanced so that money is not a driving factor for them. It's important to us that you trust what our technicians tell you, and you are able to build a rapport with us long term.
Our estimators both are prior service technicians that understand equipment. They bring a whole different approach to sales. Our estimators are very low pressure, and their primary goal is to take measurements and find options that work for your home. They want to give you choices and if you're ever ready to go, they can help coordinate the work for you. We know that long term by being trustworthy, and low pressure, that we will be successful.
(if for some reason you EVER felt pressured into something please reach out to the owners, they care deeply about being a no pressure company!)
We are human, we can make mistakes. Sure it isn't often, and we try our best to make sure they are few and far between, but it happens! It's important to us that you are comfortable with our installations and service. For installation we back our installs with a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the equipment or we sized it incorrectly, we will make it right. For service, if an issue occured from a mistake of ours we make it right. Please let us know immediately if you have any problems with services or equipment. We care deeply about your happiness and satisfaction with our work. You can email us any time at firstname.lastname@example.org (which goes right to an owner).
Our goal is to build a long term relationship with our customers and be the point of contact. We do not want to throw away something we work so hard to build.
In today's world it seems like businesses have really lost their touch on how to treat employees like the important assets to the business that they are. We believe by putting the employee first and making sure they have a say in how we operate, being treated with dignity and respect, able to communicate issues without being chastised and that they have a proper work-life balance and not getting burned out. Other HVAC companies can have work weeks up to 60 hours during busy parts of the year. That is not healthy.
We try to keep weeks a close to 40 as possible, and only when needed maybe an extra job at the end of the day. Without us taking care of our employees and putting them first, you, our customer, would not receive good quality work. By being employee focused we provide even better service from rested, happy technicians to our entire customer base. That's one of the reasons our employee retention is incredibly high.
It's not secret that without our customers we would not be around. Our office is staffed by polite, helpful people ready to assist you and answer your questions. If you call us during business hours, a person answers the phone. That person should be able to answer most questions for you. Our specials are fair to everyone, and we strongly believe in rewarding loyalty.
We are so serious about running a company that is efficient... Giving our technicians access to all the information they need, as well as our office staff. So much so that we literally built our software from the ground up. Our "Good Guys ServiceDesk®" platform is a work of over a decade. Built by Dan Christensen, one of our owners, the platform rivals some of the big players out there. However, because it's ours everything works together smoothly. If we have an idea we can implement it. When extreme weather hits, our platform allows us to run faster than others with extreme efficiency.
Having our own software allowed us to do quite a bit that you do not see with other companies. We are HUGE believers in convenience. Our goal is to always make it incredibly easy to work with us!
