Family Business

Our family has been in the HVAC trades for 5 generations going back a century. Our cofounder Earl Christensen started in the trades after World War II when Earl Christensen came back from service, and started working for his uncle at Schank & Christensen. When his uncle decided to close up shop instead of selling the business, Earl decided to go into business with Joe Wisnet (senior). Our first Christensen & Wisnet location opened up in 1966 on Outagamie Street in Appleton, WI. We delivered fuel oil to the valley as well as full service to their heating and cooling systems. Joe Wisnet (son) took over the business from his father upon his unexpected passing, and with time John Christensen purchased his side from his father in the 80's.

John & Joe helped convert our company from a small scale business into a much larger one with growing our business and expanding into additional markets. In the late 90's early 00's we sold our Oil Company to what is now US Ventures, and we bought their HVAC company's assets to grow our business. We have always been about honesty, but John & Joe cemented our internal saying of "Profit if we can, at a loss if we must". This means that we always try to keep our company healthy, but if something goes wrong we do not hide from it and we fix it at whatever cost is needed to keep ourself to our high standards.

Today we are operated by the fifth generation Andy Christensen & Dan Christensen. They have been brought up through the company learning all the important aspects as well as learning the ethics that have made our company the staple it is in the valley. We take a different approach than most others in that we price our work at a fair price, so that we aren't desperate to raise our ticket cost, crazy isn't it? While we certainly have products/services we can recommend, our technicians are out to recommend something becuase they truly believe in it. We do not tell employees to push products, and the amounts we give to technicians for addons is balanced so that money is not a driving factor for them. It's important to us that you trust what our technicians tell you, and you are able to build a rapport with us long term.

Our estimators are prior service technicians that understand equipment. They bring a whole different approach to sales. Our estimators are very low pressure, and their primary goal is to take measurements and find options that work for your home. They want to give you choices and if you're ever ready to go, they can help coordinate the work for you. We know that long term by being trustworthy, and low pressure, that we will be successful.
