John & Beverly said: Eric was here this morning for a leak from our water softener. He explained that our softener system was 20 years old and that it needed replacing. He let us know this in a very informative way and we agreed that it needed replacement. He walked us through the procedure and took care of scheduling it. We appreciated his manners and will see him the first full week in March.

Bonnie said: Technician found sircuit board not working. Asked how much a new one would cost, he said 890.00. Asked if he could find the problem and he did. Said he needed a soldering iron to fix it and didn’t have one along. I supplied a soldering gun, then he needed an extension cord. Never saw him put meters on anything as other Techs have. Asked if he cleaned the burners and said he did when I went to get the soldering gun. Then charged 40.00 for Labor over the Select Group charges. I understand the extra work of repairing the board but thought that should be included with the cleaning, and check up of the furnace. Other Technicians always had a vacuum, and all the tools needed. Am glad he fixed the problem but a little unhappy with the service this time!
Company Response: We are going to have another technician come out and do the complete tune-up over again. The added $40 labor cost is accurate any time we are repairing things (that is not part of a tune-up, but you don't have to pay the $95 trip charge that is associated with a service call so it's a big money saver to repair at time of a tune-up). We will be addressing this internally as our tune-ups have been and need to stay consistent with every single technician on our team. It shouldn't matter who comes to your home, we have a list of things that we do on our tune-ups. There is no deviation from that list.

We would have liked that education so we can keep an eye on the issue. Otherwise, very knowledgeable and polite.
