Do you sell filters?

We do sell filters off of our service trucks as well as in our showroom. We do our best to keep a stock of specialty filters. You can stop in during our regular office hours to purchase filters. If you want us to check stock before arrival just give us a call we will be happy to check for you. If you're looking for 1" filters, we typically do not sell just one of them. We do have boxes of 1" filters you can buy from us. 1" filters should be changed every 1-3" months.

Do you sell parts over the counter?

We sell most parts over the counter, but it does depend on the current staffing in the office. When we get extreme weather we may have additional office staff out of the office running service calls. There are a few parts we will not sell for safety or licensing reasons, such as Gas Valves, Refrigerant, Linesets, etc. It is strongly encouraged to call in with what part you're looking for and the model and serial number of the equipment, not the part. We then take this and find the current part number... so many time a part number will change multiple times, and this is the best way to search it out.

Electronic parts sold over the counter, unless D.O.A. is not a returnable item. Other parts carry the manufacturerwarranty and a 30 day return window.

During peak times of the year we may not be able to sell parts (like mentioned earlier), due to staffing. We will be able to tell you when you call if we can do it or not. Our goal is to try to make it work but sometimes we simply can't.

Do you stock parts at your office?

We have a warehouse that we stock well with new equipment as well as repair parts for many different manufacturers. Our service vehicles are stocked really well with common parts they could need. On occasion we may need to custom order a part, but most of the time you'd be surprised to know we have it in our warehouse.

We maintain active relationships with all part suppliers in the area to get you the part as fast as possible.

Do you offer Military or Senior Discounts?

We offer both of them, but they must be asked for at the time of service. The discount is 5% for service work, and 2% for installs.

Do you offer loyalty programs?

We are a strong believer that companies in general have given on loyalty. The Good Guys will not fall into that mold. Our current programs require that you have your furnace tuned up yearly for a discount. Ask our technician about the yearly tune-up club, they'll be able to get you on the program.

Do you work with Home Warranty programs?

While we would love to take care of everyone, the way Home Warranty companies have treated our industry and our prior experiences have made it so we will not work with any Home Warranty company directly. The only case where we would is if you do all the leg work. We can do our job and you can pay the bill, and if the warranty company wants to reimburse you we can do it that way.

I bought a furnace/ac (new/used) can you install it?

The answer is unfortunately "no", but trust us... we did not just arrive at this without doing this many times for other people. Our company is very good at installing equipment we are trained on. We do it daily. We have ran into so many unique situations that makes for a general bad time installing it. If you buy a new one online first off, warranty is voided. We have seen customers buy the wrong type, wrong size, or a very low quality product we don't want to risk installing. If we have a problem with the equipment like freight damage (happens more than you'd think) we have a local contact to fix this and get another unit for you.

You are taking a gamble buying online and ESPECIALLY buying used. Buying online voids warranties from every manufacturer we are aware of, and shipping a unit back will cost hundreds.

Can you sell us a [brand] furnace (that we don't normally sell)

Every once in a while we get a question about this. Let's just say you had a brand name furnace that you really liked and wanted another one from them. We usually carry two to three brands of Furnaces, Air Conditioners, and Boilers. For almost all other equipment we cannot pick up a single furnace from established brands without being a dealer. We equate this to going to a KIA car dealer and asking for a Ford. There is a lot of paperwork, logistics, and money involved to become a KIA dealer, therefore they are strictly selling one brand. The same applies with brands in our business. We focus on a few brands we like and sell them. There is yearly paperwork and costs involved in carrying a brand. We have expectations to sell so many of each a year to keep our territory and dealership status.

The brand isn't as important as the warranty and the company installing and backing it. Companies keep getting bought out and now there is about 6 companies that produce most of the furnaces. A quality piece of equipment installed badly is going to operate badly. The company installing the equipment is more important than the equipment.
